Hasina Saraha

Hasina was born and raised way, way “down river” in Ann Arbor; she is enjoying the Detroit scene. While in the Stockdill lab, she hopes to gain proficiency in organic synthesis while working on her main project which is focused on the strategies for the synthesis and folding of disulfide rich proteins. During her time out of the books and lab, Hasina is interested in hanging out with friends (at Meijer), seeing the light of day, catching up on much needed sleep, and visiting different Detroit attractions.

Hansamali Sirinimal

Hans was born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She obtained her special Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the university of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is pursuing her P. hD in Organic chemistry in Stockdill lab and has been working on aminyl radical cyclizations and a lantibiotic synthesis. She is in interested in engaging in highly impactful research related to natural product synthesis, medicinal chemistry and new avenues of methodology development. Her goal is to become a highly skillful organic chemist and to make contributions to resolve prevailing issues in the field. During her leisure time she likes to enjoy and travel around the world with friends and family, read, experiment with cooking and practice buddhism (not easy!) and of course to sit somewhere quiet with a coffee in her hands enjoying the scenery!
